Certificate Handover and Recognition of 2nd Batch & 3rd Batch

The, LRC (Leather sector Research and development Centre) successfully concluded 2nd batch "Long Course on Footwear Manufacturing" on 30 January 2026 with a grand closing ceremony and certificate handover. The event celebrated the achievements of 7 trainees who completed the intensive program designed to bolster the skilled workforce of the nation's growing footwear sector.

The ceremony, held at sector-4, Uttara, Dhaka-1230, Bangladesh served as the culmination of 2 months of rigorous technical and practical training. Participants gained expertise in various facets of the Leather& its selection, Design & pattern making, Merchandising, footwear operation, quality, Machineries, production line, including business startup.

The CEO Md. Ahsanur Rashid, LRC officially presented certificates to the graduates who attend long course on Footwear manufacturing which was staring from 5 December 2025. In their keynote address, they emphasized that the footwear industry is a vital pillar of the economy, aiming for significant export growth in the coming years. "The skills you have acquired here are the foundation of an industry that competes on a global stage," the CEO remarked.

Trainee Feedback and Future Outlook; During the event, several trainees shared their experiences, noting how the course bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and factory-floor realities. Many have already secured their business some are thinking to setup new production floor, some are established a buying house and few are placements in leading domestic and export-oriented firms.

About the Course; The "Long Course on Footwear Manufacturing" is a specialized initiative aimed at addressing the shortage of skilled high-management, entrepreneur and technical staff in the leather sector. It covers the entire lifecycle of footwear production, from initial concept and material selection, operation, quality control to final business setup.

 

Donate money to save life of Leather Technologist Mr. Alamgir Hossain

LRC program Manager Mohammad Ahsanur Rashid  handing over cash contribution at amount BDT 20,000 to Md Alamgir Hossain on 09 December 2013 at LRC office.
As a part of social responsibilities for leather sector in Bangladesh, “The Leather sector Research & development Centre” (LRC) is pleased to contribute to Mr. Alamgir Hossain, Leather Technologist, 22nd Batch, ILET for his serious illness. A program is being held at LRC office on 9 December 2013. Mr. Alamgir Hossain has been suffering serious illness since a year. He has decided to go to Singapore for better treatment, for that he needs 25 lac BDT to cure this disease. Program program Manager Mohammad Ahsanur Rashid urged leather technologists, tannery owners, Chemical Businessmen and stakeholders to come forward to save the life of Mr.Alamgir through donating with small amount.
